Why is Magazooms better than using PDF and Acrobat ?
Acrobat is a great tool no doubt, but Magazooms has capabilities beyond Acrobat that maximize the utility of the electronic format.
Most significant difference is that in Acrobat there is no relationship between the document you are reading and other related documents available. Since Magazooms is effectively a document management system it gives readers access via the "search all available" option to all documents for a given publisher.

Can we add more than one Full-Page animation to the opening of the publication?
Yes, Magazooms can handle multiple Ads for the opening pages on a random rotation. In the Publishers Console just load each Ad individually into your Media Library and then select all the Ads you wish to put into the rotation under the "Production" tab for the individual publications.

Can Magazooms Application Be Installed on the Desktop?
Magazooms Desktop version is a standalone application which will run on Windows or Mac OS. The application can be installed from CD or using an Online Installer which will give readers access to the application anytime, without requiring an internet connection.

Can Magazooms Publications Be Saved to the Desktop ?
If you choose "Allow Saving" in the Publishers console this enables the reader to save a Magazoom Edition to their desktop as a PDF. Otherwise you can choose to have your Magazooms produced as a "Desktop Version" which can be installed on the users computer from CD, or from your website.

Can a page be updated after the publication has been released online?
Yes, pages can be edited, deleted, added, or replace at anytime and one you "publish" the changes they become live.

What are Printer Spreads?
Printer Spreads is a term used to describe the special booklet layout and sequence of the pages used for commercial printing.
When viewing a PDF produced in "Printer Spreads" the pages will appear to be all out of order for normal reading.
Magazoms requires PDF pages to be in "Reader Spreads" which is the same logical single page order as the final printed publication.

Can We Host Magazooms On Our Server ?
All Magazooms Online Editions are hosted on the Magazooms Server, but your Magazooms Publications can be integrated into your own website. We provide the HTML code which can be embedded into your web page that will give your readers immediate access to each publication.

Can Magazooms process a publication loaded as single pages ?
Yes, the system can accept a publication either as single pages or as a single PDF with multiple pages.
When loading the pages be sure to check the appropriate checkbox to indicate which you will be uploading.

Can Magazooms accept pages in 2-page spreads?
Yes, the system can accept a single PDF file in 2 page spreads. This format will be automatically recognized when the PDF is uploaded and it will be processed without any special user input.

Is there any limit to the number of pages?
Technically there is no page limit, however as a practical matter it sometimes is better to subdivide your publication into sections. Catalogs which have several hundred pages are easier to navigate and manage if they are segemented this way.
Since Magazooms has the ability to display all of your publications in a List, users can simply select what would appear as a sub-section of the publication and open it for viewing.
